TOSB Employees Throw Caps

43 TOSB employees completed their master’s education and earned the right to graduate from Gebze Technical University. The employees wore their gowns to the graduation ceremony held at TOSB and threw their caps in the air.

GTU, always in contact with the organized industrial zones and companies under university-industry collaboration, just made another first happen. As part of the protocol signed between Automotive Supply Industry Specialized Organized Industrial Zone (TOSB) and GTU, 43 employees who wanted to go forward with their education completed their studies and were granted their master’s diplomas in the graduation ceremony held at the first general meeting of TOSB. Reaping the fruits of their 2-year study, the students received their diplomas with their gowns on and threw their caps in the air.

Yunus Çiftçi, TOSB Chairman of the Executive Board, stating that the best investment of all is the one made in people said: “This was the first time in an industrial zone in Turkey that employees took courses and completed their education at their place of work. Most distinguished Rector Professor Haluk Görgün and the members of the faculty at GTU made it happen. We believe education lasts a lifetime and give them our sincere thanks.”
