Research University Fields Paired

Under the Council of Higher Education's (CoHE) "Research-Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Program", the research universities of Turkey have been paired in the field of social sciences, health, and natural sciences/engineering according to the prioritized sectors that have been designated in the 11th Development Plan. 

It had been previously announced by CoHE that studies in the field of electronics, chemistry, automotive, bioinformatics, environmental sciences, climate change, and cyber security at GTU will be supported. From among the universities designated as the research universities of Turkey, GTU has been paired with Erciyes and Sabancı Universities in the field of bioinformatics; Hacettepe, İstanbul Technical, Koç and Sabancı Universities in the field of business administration; Dokuz Eylül, Ege, Erciyes, İstanbul Technical, İstanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, and Karadeniz Technical Universities in the field of environment and climate change to conduct joint studies.
