Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar Assigned As New Rector For GTU

Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar has been assigned as the new rector of GTU. Prof. Mantar graduated from the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Istanbul Technical University in 1993.  Having received his master's degree in 1998 and doctoral degree in 2003 from the College of Engineering and Computer Science, Syracuse University in the USA, Prof. Mantar served as the President of TÜBİTAK's Advanced Technologies Research Center for Informatics and Information Security from 2015 to 2020. Mantar was also the CEO for HAVELSAN between 2018 and 2020, and still acts as the Vice President for the said company. Prof. Mantar worked at the Department of Computer Engineering at Gebze Technical University from 2006 to 2021. From February 2021, he started to work at the Department of Computer Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, and also as of 2021, he started to serve as a Member of the Executive Board for İTÜ ARI Teknokent. As of August 2021, Mantar was assigned as the Vice Rector for Istanbul Technical University.  And from August 3, 2022, Prof. Mantar is assigned as the new rector for GTU.
