International Accomplishment by GTU Faculty

An international project by Asst. Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Balçık, Lecturer Dr. Bahar Özbey Ünal, and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Karagündüz from GTU's Department of Environmental Engineering is going to be supported by Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF). 

In addition to GTU faculty members, the team of the project, which is titled “Advanced Membrane Distillation Technology for Seawater Desalination and Brine Treatment of Desalination Plants”, consists of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Derya Yüksel İmer from Istanbul Technical University, Dr. Abdel Nasser Mabrouk from Qatar Hamad Bin Khalifa University, and Dr. Dema Almasri from Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI). The duration of the project is 36 months, while the total budget is 540,000 USD.
