GTU Rover Team To Represent Turkey In The USA

The Rover Team, which consists of GTU students conducting studies in the field of robotics at GTU, has made it to the finals in the international competition they have participated with the vehicle they have designed and developed the software for. The System Acceptance Review results of the competition, which constitutes the shortlisting phase of the University Rover Challenge competition organized by the Mars Society, were announced on 22 March 2022. The GTU Rover Team has made it to the top 36 among over 100 teams from all over the world. The team will be competing at Mars Desert Research Station in the USA between 1-4 June 2022. 

The team is also competing in the Anatolian Rover Challenge, which will take place for the first time, and both the on-site and remote versions of the European Rover Challenge.
