GTU Faculty's Project To Be Supported Under TÜBİTAK's "Mucilage Research"

The project titled “Development of Suggested Solutions by Examining the Sources of Basic Nutrients Specific to Two Different Basins That Trigger the Formation of Marine Mucilage" (Deniz Müsilajı Oluşumunu Tetikleyen Temel Nütrient Madde Kaynaklarının İki Farklı Karakterdeki Havza Özelinde Araştırılarak Çözüm Önerilerinin Geliştirilmesi) and coordinated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Meltem Çelen from the Institute of Earth and Marine Sciences at GTU has been entitled to be supported under  TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 “Mucilage Research” call.

In the project, which is to be supervised by TÜBİTAK's Public Research Support Group "KAMAG", Prof. Dr. Salim Öncel from the same institute at GTU, Prof. Dr. Güleda Engin from Yıldız Technical University, and Prof. Dr. Fatih Gülgen are included as researchers. 

One of the basins to be examined under the project runs through GTU campus, and thanks to the project, the marine mucilage research that started under the Institute of Earth and Marine Sciences at GTU will have gained a new dimension.
