Minister of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Kirişci and His Delegation Visited Our R&D Greenhouse and Laboratory

Minister KIRİŞCI and the accompanying delegation, Kocaeli Governor Seddar YAVUZ, Gebze Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali MANTAR and Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Işıl AKSAN KURNAZ, Prof. Dr. Mahmut DURMUŞ and Prof. Dr. Hazari ÇELEBİ, accompanied by Kocaeli provincial and district delegations, visited the 'plant factory' of GTU Biotechnology Institute, which was established within the scope of the ongoing university-industry cooperation. He was informed by Institute Director Prof. Dr. Elif Damla ARISAN, Deputy Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Ümit Barış KUTMAN and Assist. Prof. Dr. Bahar YILDIZ KUTMAN. Deputy Director of the Institute, Ü. Barış KUTMAN stated that they are happy that the Biotechnology Institute has started to reap the fruits of the agricultural R&D studies they carry out in cooperation with the industry and expressed the importance of meeting agriculture and innovative technologies for sustainability in plant production, food safety and nutrition security.
