Worked as R&D Engineer and Product Developer on the Mechanical Seals Team at GE Research center.  Actualized some innovative concept into actual products which are being used in GE Gas turbines now.



  • Worked on innovative research projects to develop components to increase efficiency of Gas Turbines and reduce NOx levels.
  • Inventor on 20 joint patents (list attached) of products that were offered in new gas turbines and as retrofit to existing gas turbines.
  • Developed a dynamic smart seal which would retract itself at start-up and shut downs when the wear is at a maximum. This increased the life of the seal and cost of maintenance went down.
  • Applied and Trained colleagues in Design for Six Sigma leading to zero defect product design and ensuring all the critical to quality (CTQ) parameters were within the required ranges.
