Has relevant flight background for aircraft, UAV and helicopter gas turbines (former chief engineer of combustion). Ground power gas turbine background extends to small aeroderivatives and frame gas turbine combustion, catalytic systems, plant design and emissions systems. He has been actively involved in the design of emission sensing technologies, emission reduction systems, catalysts and the implementation of international air regulations. He most recently wrote a paper with the Chinese Academy of Sciences for a new, flexible, low-emission combustion system and helped with H2 and NH3 fuel-frame engine designs with his fellows at Siemens. While at GE, he was one of the top 5 inventors of GE Power for several years, with more than 100 US applications and nearly 70 issued patents (combustion, accessories, EOR, fuels, plant systems, controls, and plant emissions reduction). Manage patent development and PTO challenges for most of these patents. While at GE, customers can receive EOR, HFO, syngas, etc. earned or contributed greatly to over several hundred million in programs. The Role of Plant Emissions PE has added responsibilities to support sales/marketing teams by monitoring and developing international air emission regulations (which resulted in many new laws for many countries and the World Bank). In this role, he also leads the design, development and commissioning of new plant-level emission systems.


Prior to joining GE in 2004, Department of Defense work was rarely patented, but could include high-speed propulsion (SCRAM/RAM), fuel processing, new propulsion systems, laser sensing systems, rockets, terawatt lasers, etc. He has authored nearly one hundred published articles and final reports in various fields.
