Webinar #2: Structure Based Peptide Design and Molecular Dynamics Studies for Targeting Dimerization of NFAT5

This webinar was not published on our Youtube channel upon the request of the speaker.

Abstract:

NFAT5, as a transcription factor responsible for regulation of the genes that are protective against osmotic stress, has also been linked to many pathologies up until today. Despite accumulating evidence, current literature does not contain any reported molecules, targeting NFAT5 from its dimerization domain. In this talk, structure based prediction, optimization and molecular dynamics studies for a novel peptide carrying the potential to target C terminal dimerization region of NFAT5 will be presented. Specifically, some of the recent computational results obtained through molecular docking, prediction of relative binding energies and essential dynamics analysis will be emphasized. Future perspectives of the work will also be discussed.
