A Read and Publish agreement have been made with the American Chemical Society (ACS), to which we subscribe, through ANKOS (Anatolian University Libraries Consortium). Due to our subscription to ACS Journals, your publications as a corresponding author will be published as open access in ACS journals without the article processing charge (APC). The agreement covers publication in all ACS journals, including ACS Omega, JACS Au, ACS Au, and all ACS hybrid journals. The agreement does not include publishing eBooks or articles that are additions, corrections, or editorials.
1) the submitting corresponding author must indicate affiliation to our institution by selecting the institution from the dropdown list in their Paragon Plus profile. The submitting corresponding author must be identified as the individual who is to communicate with ACS throughout the peer review process,
2) the submitting corresponding author should utilize their university email address in their Paragon Plus profile to better assist the agreement administrator in determining qualification.
Corresponding authors meeting all of the criteria mentioned above will be referred to as “qualifying authors.” As a qualifying author, a funding request will be automatically generated at the time of manuscript acceptance. You will receive a notification from Copyright Clearance Center once action is taken on the funding request.
When completing the Journal Publishing Agreement, your manuscript should be identified as belonging to the agreement. If the manuscript is not identified as belonging to the agreement or if you have problems with the open access publication of your article, don’t hesitate to contact the ACS at OAOps@acs.org .
Pursuant to the Read and Publish Agreement, IOP member institutions will be able to publish their publications in journals defined as Hybrid and Gold Open Access as open access without paying an Article Processing Charge (APC). Under the aforementioned Wiley Open Access (AE) Agreement, which is the first "Read and Publish" agreement at the national level, all universities in Turkey will continue to access approximately 1367 e-journals of Wiley publishing house. In addition, the authors of EKUAL Member institutions are published in "Research Article", "Review Article", "Data Article" and "Rapid" in Q1 and Q2 Group Wiley Hybrid and Wiley Gold Journals (excluding Hindawi) in Web of Science (WOS). Publicaition” will be within the scope of AE support. It will be possible to publish "Open Access" publications sent and accepted by the researchers of the EKUAL Member Institution to Wiley journals within the scope, without paying the Article Processing Fee (APC), if the author requests it.
Within the scope of the said agreement, there is an "annual OA article publishing quota". Looking at the data for the last five years, it is predicted that the AE article quotas within the scope of the agreement will meet more than half of the Wiley publications with the TR address.
In the event that the annual OA article publishing quota expires, if the author of the relevant publication wishes to have his article published as an OA, he or the funding agency must pay the APC fee.
According to the terms of the agreement, an “AE article quota allocation” will not be made for institutions. The publication of the author whose article is accepted in the aforementioned journals will be queued in accordance with the "first come, first order" rule, if the author requests it, and if there is a right to publish an OA article in the quota, ULAKBİM will give approval for the article to be published in OA.
Regarding the publications to be supported by AE; It is sufficient for the publications in hybrid journals to be accepted on or after January 01, 2023, and for gold open access journals, they should be submitted and accepted on or after January 01, 2023.
It is sufficient that one of the authors of the above-mentioned journal group and publication type and which has the right to publish an OA article in the quota, one of the authors of the publication to be provided with OA support, and the name of the member institution under the name of the publication.
In case our researchers want to have their articles published as OA, it is important for the AE approval processes to run smoothly when applying for articles to Wiley, and to register their institutional e-mails in the application forms.
