Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility applications (University of Tabriz)

Applications will be accepted according to the following Schedule.

University of Tabriz students who will apply to benefit from Erasmus+ study mobility for students within the 2020-2021 Academic Year(fall semester). Study mobility must be at least 3 months. The Erasmus office will provide grant support for only one academic semester and for one student for  this Project from Tabriz.

If the student who is selected to be an Erasmus exchange student, gives up her/his Erasmus right, the grant is to the top candidate in the reserve list.

The GTU International Relations Office will provide grant support for one student but the students who are eligible to benefit from the program but have not been awarded an Erasmus grant due to the inadequacy of the grant quota may benefit from the acquired rights without a grant.

The selected students will study for one semester at Gebze Technical University according to the Learning Agreement to be signed between the student, University of Tabriz and GTU. Once the students* finish their study at GTU, the courses that they succesfully passed at GTU will be recognized at University of Tabriz. 

Selection Criteria

• The applicants must be an undergraduate, graduate or PhD student at the University of Tabriz. The students who are at the first class of the undergraduate programs, cannot apply for this call. (GTU advises this programme for graduate, phd and 3rd, 4th class undergraduate students.)

• There must be an inter-institutional agreement between the applicant’s department and Gebze Technical University. Please check your department from the department quotas table displayed below.
• The average grade point must be at least 14/20 for  undergraduate students and 16/20 for graduate and PhD students.
• The students are required not to have  completed the required credits for the diploma yet and having 30 ECTS credits per semester in the period of mobility.
• If the previous Erasmus study or internship mobilities have been used within the current education level, the total duration with the new mobility can not exceed 12 months.
• 10 points will be reduced for each mobility from the applicants who have benefited from Erasmus+ study or internship mobility within the same level of education before.

Application Documents

University of Tabriz students wishing to apply for the Erasmus + Program should complete the documents listed below within the announced dates and send them to the GTU Erasmus Office e-mail address erasmus@gtu.edu.tr as attachment:

The form should be completely filled by the student and then signed by the student, the chair of the department and the International Relations Office of the University of Tabriz.

2. Transkript of Records

Up to date  transcript of records confirmed by your university.

3. Language Certificate

English Language certificate. (MSRT , TOEFFl , or UTET (University of Tabriz English test ) (at least 70/100)

Evaluation of the Applications

Students who have completed their application documents will be ranked according to the above described criteria by GTU International Relations Office. According to the available quotas, starting from the student with the highest score, downward placement is done.

Erasmus+ Grants

Monthly grant is 800 € ( 5 months to be granted. ).

Travel Support 275 €.

Departmental Quotas **

*   If the total scores of two students are equal the student with a higher general academic average will be selected.
