How to apply
- Each project is undertaken by two students.
- The list below is final — no further projects will be announced.
- Apply directly to the advisor of any project you're interested in.
- Advisors decide which students they accept, at their discretion.
Already arranged with an advisor? If you have already contacted an advisor and received their approval for a pre-agreed project, you don't need to take any further action — those projects are not listed here.
ENG497 — Industry-Oriented Research Projects Optional Alternative Track
If you're interested in an industry-oriented research project, express your interest to the course coordinator, Assist. Prof. Dr. Onur Serçinoğlu, as early as possible.
Eligibility
- GPA of at least 3.0.
- No outstanding courses outside the regular semester schedule by semester 8.
How it works
Selected projects are co-advised by a department advisor and an external industry partner. Work begins in Fall 2026 as your graduation project and continues as ENG497 in Spring 2027 (subject to continued eligibility).
Current external partners
- Idea Teknoloji A. Ş. — bioinformatics
- TÜBİTAK MAM — biotechnology
Important notes
- All eligible students may apply — including those who have already agreed with a department advisor on a project.
- Selection is not guaranteed; the quota depends on external partner availability, which varies between terms.
- Specific project titles will be announced as partners confirm availability.
- Express your interest now, and still apply to a project from the list below so that your graduation project starts on time if you are not selected for ENG497.
