NUTRITION COUNSELING AND DIETARY SERVICES

Our institution provides Nutrition Counseling and Dietary Services for individuals who apply online through our university's “Appointment Tracking System” (randevu.gtu.edu.tr). Services are provided between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and are not available on weekends or holidays.
 

Nutrition Counseling and Dietary Services Offered

• Individuals' anthropometric measurements, medical history, and dietary habits are evaluated.

• Individuals are offered education on healthy eating.

• Nutrition programs tailored to the individual are prepared by the dietitian based on age, gender, and specific dietary requirements, and counseling, treatment (evaluation with tests), and monitoring and assessment services are provided.

The initial meetings are scheduled to take place before noon and last an average of 45 minutes, while follow-up meetings are scheduled to take place in the afternoon and last an average of 30 minutes.
 

At the initial consultation, the individual is asked to bring a "3-Day Food Consumption Record" (FR-0829) and blood test results from the last 6 months for the purpose of assessing their nutrition and health status.
 

Individuals who are more than 15 minutes late for their appointment may need to schedule a new appointment to avoid disrupting the next session and to ensure the process proceeds smoothly, as there may not be sufficient time remaining. Individuals who are unable to attend their appointment must cancel it via the Appointment Tracking System (randevu.gtu.edu.tr) at least 1 hour before the appointment time.
 

The services have been initiated to determine the energy and nutrient requirements of healthy individuals and to develop healthy nutrition programs based on age, gender, and physical activity levels; to determine nutrient requirements according to individuals’ illnesses, anthropometric measurements, laboratory findings, and treatments; and to plan, implement, and monitor dietary treatments and nutrition education programs.
