At Gebze Technical University, scientific knowledge is not confined to academic journals or laboratories; it reaches out to society, youth, educators, media professionals, and decision-makers. As the GTU Science Communication Office, our goal is to make science understandable, meaningful, and accessible to everyone. Because we believe that scientific knowledge creates real impact only when it is shared and meets everyday life.

Our office develops various communication strategies and events to connect the university’s research and development activities with the public. Through collaborations with students, academics, and researchers, we aim to strengthen the public's connection with science and nurture the scientific curiosity of younger generations. From the Academic Vision article series and Meet Science internship programs to science talks for high schools with Ambassadors of Science and public science events, we operate across a wide spectrum of initiatives.

The GTU Science Communication Office values increasing public trust and interest in science and sees the university not only as an academic institution but also as a social actor. Because we believe science belongs to society, and everyone can engage with it. At GTU, science is not hidden behind walls—it is at the very heart of life.
