Services

 

In-Class Organization:

• Classroom locations may be rearranged, and adjustments (such as chair placement, etc.) can be made to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
• Whenever possible, classes taken by students with disabilities are arranged on the ground floors of the buildings.

 

Class Hour Organization:

• Students are assisted in sitting in a place where they can see and follow the instructor clearly.
• Students may request assistance from the instructor in line with their needs, and support is provided whenever possible.
• Students may occasionally experience decreased motivation due to their disability. Providing regular feedback and encouraging them to follow the lessons helps increase their motivation.
• In line with the student’s needs, appropriate learning methods and arrangements for students with disabilities can be provided through the cooperation of the Commission for Students with Disabilities, relevant Departments, and the Rectorate.

 

Exam Organization:

• If requested, the student may take the exam in a separate classroom, and additional time may be granted as needed.
• A calculator or computer can be provided, and assistance with their use can be offered.
• A support assistant (which may be a volunteer university student) can help the student during exams, or an oral exam may be administered if appropriate.
• Large-print exam documents can be prepared for students with visual impairments.
• The exam venue can be made accessible for wheelchair users.

 

Transportation:

• Transportation services can be provided for academic and non-academic events within and between campuses.
• Necessary arrangements regarding transportation needs of students with disabilities can be made through the Directorate of Construction and Technical Affairs.

 

Sports:

• Facilities such as swimming pools and sports halls are made accessible to students with disabilities.

 

Parking:

• Priority parking spaces are arranged near the buildings for individuals with disabilities.

 

Early Registration:

• An early registration day for students with disabilities may be scheduled on the university website, one day prior to the general registration period.

 

Scholarship:

• Students with disabilities may be given priority in scholarship opportunities.

 

Health:

• Health services are provided through the Family Health Center.

 

NOTE:

In accordance with the right to education, support is provided for ensuring that students with disabilities have access to the necessary course materials, equipment, and methods (in various formats such as Braille printing, audio recordings, computers, sign language interpreters, CDs, etc.).
