Gebze Technical University (GTU) Faculty of Architecture Research Platform (GTU-mimHUB) and GTU Research Coordinatorship organized a launch event to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and research dialogue. During the event, discussions were held on interdisciplinary research trends, collaborative areas and future collaborations.

The event brought together researchers from different disciplines. This meeting, which aimed to identify common research areas and prepare the ground for future collaborations, was held on February 18 at GTU Faculty of Architecture.

After the opening speech of Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Elif Damla Arısan, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Prof. Dr. Elif Özlem Aydın and GTU-mimHUB Coordinator Associate Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Gamze Mert explained the internal dynamics and working areas of the faculty as well as the establishment process of GTU-mimHUB, its purpose and the contributions of the team members.

Within the scope of the program; GTU-mimHUB was introduced. There were talks on interdisciplinary research trends, short presentations by research groups and interactive conversations to evaluate potential collaboration opportunities. The event served as a platform for participants to exchange ideas and strengthen the research culture.

GTU-mimHUB aims to support studies in the fields of architecture, urban and regional planning and industrial design and to develop integrated solutions with different disciplines. With this first event of the platform, it was aimed to establish a strong bond between researchers. It is envisaged that this dialog will continue with similar events to be organized in the future.
