SGM 216 Vocational Education Course Commission

- Establishing the technical infrastructure for the SGM 216 Vocational Education course, 

- Preparing the protocols for the SGM 216 Vocational Education course, 

- Adapting the SGM 216 Vocational Education course into an implementable form for the course supervisor, 

- Conducting studies to improve the course by considering the feedback received at the end of the course.
 

The commission aims to fulfill these tasks to support students in gaining professional knowledge and skills and to make the course more effective.

Adaptation Commission

- Reviewing the curricula of applications made for adaptation within the framework of regulations and guidelines, 

- Comparing these with the curricula of the vocational school, 
 

- Preparing a recommendation report for the board of directors 
The Adaptation Commission aims to ensure the uninterrupted continuation of students' academic processes.

Minor Commission

- In accordance with the Gebze Technical University Minor Program Directive (document no. YÖ-0012), the commission is resposible for evaluating applications to the minor program, selecting eligible candidates, and subsequently announcing the results. 

- It ensures that students applying to the minor diploma program have successfully completed all courses in their primary degree program up to the semester in which they apply, and provides information when necessary. 

In accordance with pertinent regulations, the commission identifies students who are at risk of being deregistered  from the program and reports these cases to the department head.

Erasmus+ Commission

- Communicates with the Erasmus office of the university.  

- Consults staff and students about the program.  

- Announces the necessary information about the exchange program on the website. 
- Follows the processes of the student or academic staff who apply for the exchange program.  

- Organizes grant distributions in accordance with the principles of savings.

Lateral Transfer Commission

- It performs the duties specified in the Gebze Technical University Associate and Undergraduate Programs Transfer Directive (document no. Ö-0013). 

- The commission is responsible for evaluating the eligibility of students applying for transfer and decides on acceptance or rejection. 

For students accepted into the transfer program, the courses previously completed and the curriculum of the new program are taken into consideration, with the decision of the adaptation commission determining  the appropriate semester or class placement.

Education - Teaching and Curriculum Commission

- Monitoring the relevance of the current curriculum, 

- Tracking the functionality of courses, 

- Making course adjustments according to changing global conditions, 

- Reviewing and regularly reporting on the needs of students, employers, and the industry to maintain curriculum oversight.

The Education - Training, and Curriculum Commission aims to enhance educational quality, ensure student satisfaction, and align the program with industry expectations by fulfilling these tasks.

Graduation Commission

- Examines students' transcripts in accordance with the education and training legislation.  

- Checks the course matching of students who benefit from the exchange program.  

- Decides on the graduation of students who have successfully completed the academic year.  
 

Makes an organization for the graduation ceremony and ensures that students are informed about it.

Quality Commission 

- Setting quality targets aligned with the unit’s strategic objectives, 

- Ensuring the implementation of quality standards in educational, teaching, and administrative processes, 

- Conducting self-evaluation activities for the unit and analyzing performance indicators, 
 

Preparing regular reports on quality processes and submitting them to the university's general quality commission.

Bologna Process Commission

• Program & Workload Management: Contributing to the monitoring and updating of program competencies, course learning outcomes, and ECTS workloads in line with Bologna Process principles.

• Assessment Alignment: Monitoring the alignment of measurement and evaluation processes with defined learning outcomes.

• Quality Assurance:Participating in internal unit self-evaluation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement (Pukö/PDCA) cycles.

• Institutional Coordination:Working in full coordination with the University Bologna Coordinatorship, Quality Commission, and other relevant administrative units.
