Incoming Student Mobility

 

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates wishing to participate in mobility at our university as Erasmus students must:

 

• Be a full-time student at their home university,

• Have an inter-institutional agreement between their university and Gebze Technical University,

 

• The home institution must nominate the student by sending an email to erasmus@gtu.edu.tr.

 

 

Application Process

Students must carefully review the courses offered at Gebze Technical University and then apply through their university's Erasmus office.

 

For course information, ECTS-Info Package must be visited.

 

The following documents must be sent to GTU after nomination:

1. Online application form completed by the candidate

2. Transcript

3. Online Learning Agreement (OLA)

4. CV

5. Copy of Passport

 

 

Application Deadlines

For the Fall Semester: May 15
For the Spring Semester: November 15

 

Acceptance

The student's home university sends the application form to the GTU International Exchange Programs Office email address. The office will send an Acceptance/Invitation Letter for visa procedures to the student accepted by the relevant department.

 

 

Visa and Residence Permit 

Insurance

Incoming students must obtain a health insurance policy that will be valid during their stay in Turkey. Due to agreements between Turkey and some countries, students with health insurance can use this insurance in Turkey. However, in every case, students must obtain information and necessary documents from their insurance providers.

 

Enrollment

The student arriving at GTU must first visit the International Exchange Programs Office.

 

The office is open every weekday from 08:30 to 17:00.

 

To enroll, a copy of the Learning Agreement, transcript, and passport is required.

 

The Department Erasmus Coordinator is responsible for providing academic guidance to the incoming student and monitoring their academic development throughout their education at Gebze Technical University.

 

Erasmus students do not pay tuition fees to benefit from facilities such as registration, exams, library, and laboratory.

 

However, they are responsible for covering accommodation, transportation, necessary educational materials, insurance, and other living expenses.
