Gebze Technical University aims to achieve leadership among research universities in Turkey and the world with original, innovative research that is basically in line with the mission and vision of the university, observing objectivity in scientific studies. It plans to create a new model in university-industry cooperation with its advantageous position in the industry, which is directly related to this purpose. For this reason, all outputs (projects, publications, patents, etc.) are produced with an innovative and sustainable understanding far ahead of the age with a policy that considers the common benefit of all humanity.

Gebze Technical University, which gained the status of Research University in 2017 and is one of the 20 State Research Universities as of 2021, is a young and dynamic university in a location intertwined with Organized Industrial Zones and Technoparks.  Our university, which contributes to international science at the forefront of the rankings of universities made by various rating organizations, aims to continue this research and industry cooperation momentum by increasing.  In order to achieve this, with its academic and administrative staff who embrace the mission and vision of a research university, and with its undergraduate and graduate students and researchers who are competent enough to compete at the international level, it aims to use its strong infrastructure and resources efficiently and strengthen these infrastructure and resources by following the new developing technologies, to support the industry of the region and the country with both university-industry collaborations and innovation and entrepreneurship, to establish sustainable collaborations, and to transform the existing knowledge into benefits for society and economy.
