As a research university, Gebze Technical University, which is a leader with its high and effective publication numbers, scientific outputs receiving citations above global averages, patents and industrial applications, and seeking solutions to real problems and productivity, has increased its international project applications and the number of projects received by 900% in 2024 compared to previous years.
Qualified science is one of the priorities at GTU, where the impact rate of publications produced especially from doctoral theses is high. In this context, many research projects are successfully continued and completed with national and international cooperation.
Becoming a Research University As a research university, quality science outputs are a priority at GTU, considering that all our students and faculty members make a sustainable contribution to GTU with multidisciplinary, solution-oriented studies that add value to life, reveal innovation and innovation in science. Considering GTU's policies, it is important to strengthen the quality of being a research-oriented university. In this context, GTU's Mission, Vision and Values have been evaluated in terms of research quality and the impact of research results on solving problems.
In this context, GTU researchers produce academic outputs at Q1 level at increasing rates every year. GTU research teams, which have always been leaders in utilizing national and international funds, coordinate their research strategies with the approval of the Rector's Office through the Research and Development Commission, Scientific Research Projects Commission, Doctoral Article Review Commission, Publication Commission, Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights Board, and Research Coordinatorship.
