Dining Hall Services (Nutrition)  

Pursuant to Article 47 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 , the Directorate of  Health, Culture and Sports of our university provides accommodation, healthcare, sports, cultural, and scholarship services to our students, while also meeting the nutritional needs of our students as well as academic and administrative staff. To this end, lunch is served in our student and staff dining halls. Located on the Çayırova Campus, these dining halls provide meal services for GTU students, staff, and guests, primarily offering lunch. Meals are effectively supervised by dietitians in terms of quality, hygiene, and presentation. Our fundamental quality policy is to ensure that students studying away from home can maintain a balanced and sufficient diet, even with a single meal per day, prepared with home-cooked quality. The meals are provided by a company certified with ISO and HACCP standards. The list displaying daily menus and calorie values is available on the GTU website. In addition, in accordance with our Food Technical Specifications, students with financial difficulties are provided with free meal services during the academic year.

 

On September 23, 2019, the staff/student dining hall located on the lower floor of the Faculty of Science, Environmental Engineering and Chemistry Department Building began operating as an additional dining hall.
