The 19th International Strategic Management Conference was held in Kuwait between October 30 - November 1, 2024 in a hybrid format with face-to-face and online participation with the cooperation of Gebze Technical University (GTU), Yıldız Technical University and Australian University-Kuwait. The conference, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehtap Özşahin, Faculty Member of the Department of Business Administration at our university, with the theme of “Planning for Industry 5.0: Human-Centric, Sustainable, and Resilient Organizations”, attracted participation from 18 different countries.

The conference, where the opening speeches were made by Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security Prof. Dr. Lütfihak Alpkan and Australian University-Kuwait Rector Prof. Dr. Isam Zabalawi, was also attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Kuwait Tuba Nur Sönmez.

Many scientific studies on human-centred, sustainable and digital organisations of the future were presented at the conference, which also included a doctoral consortium for Ph.D. students.

The conference team also participated in the Republic Day reception organized by the Turkish Embassy in Kuwait on October 29, where they celebrated the 101st anniversary of our Republic with enthusiasm.
