Gebze Technical University's Graduation Ceremony for the 2023-2024 Academic Year took place on July 6, 2024.

After the university-wide graduation ceremony at GTU Congress and Culture Center at 12.00 pm, our students were sent off to their professional life with the Faculty of Architecture Graduation Ceremony held for the students of the Department of Architecture and Department of City and Regional Planning at the Faculty of Architecture N Block at 16.00 pm.

The ceremony started with a speech by Research Assistant Kardelen Öztürk representing TMMOB Chamber of City Planners Istanbul Representative Office. The ceremony started with the speech of Ms. Kardelen Öztürk and continued with the speech of Mr. Mustafa Serdaroğlu, President of Gebze Representative Office of TMMOB Chamber of Architects Kocaeli Branch. Afterwards, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Prof. Dr. Elif Özlem Aydın, Mayor of Gebze, Master City Planner Zinnur Büyükgöz, Mayor of Çayırova, Master Civil Engineer Bünyamin Çiftçi and Head of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Department of Zoning and Urbanization, Architect Osman Günler delivered their speeches respectively. Finally, the opening session was completed with the speech of Izmit District Governor Yusuf Ziya Çelikkaya.

In the continuation of the ceremony, gifts and certificates of achievement were presented to the graduates of the Department of Architecture and Department of City and Regional Planning. Finally, Ayşenur Yalçın, the valedictorian of the Faculty of Architecture and Department of Urban Planning, and Berk Günay, the valedictorian of the Department of Architecture, delivered their speeches.

The ceremony, which was held with the participation of our protocol guests, esteemed faculty members, dear students and parents, ended with collective photo shoots.

To Izmit District Governor Yusuf Ziya Çelikkaya, Gebze Mayor Zinnur Büyükgöz, Osman Günler, who attended the ceremony on behalf of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, and Darıca Mayor Muzaffer Bıyık, who contributed to the 2023-24 Academic Year Faculty of Architecture Graduation Ceremony with their participation and support, We would like to thank Bünyamin Çiftçi, Mayor of Çayırova, Mustafa Serdaroğlu, Chairman and Board Members of the Gebze Representative Office of the Chamber of Architects, Nur Kardelen Öztürk, who attended the ceremony on behalf of the Istanbul Representative Office of the TMMOB Chamber of Urban Planners, Binat Architecture and Media Group for their participation and the gifts they gave to our graduates.
