The Electronics Engineering Department is the first department of Gebze Technical University that started providing graduate education in 1994 and undergraduate education in 2001.The main sub-fields of Electronics Engineering are electrical, electronics, computers, electromagnetics, communication, control, signal and image processing.

Today, various subjects of the industry are fields of study, from computer production to communication system design, from electronic circuits to optical fibers, from radar to satellite communication, from medical device production to robot production and from defense technologies to control systems.

Electronics Engineering, which is at the forefront of the production and use of science and technology, is the fastest changing and developing branch of engineering. Today, there is no person or sector that does not use a product or technology produced by Electronics Engineering, it is almost the profession that changed and shaped the 20th and 21st centuries the most.

Our department conducts research, produces projects and publishes at an international level with its strong academic staff. In addition, it trains engineers who are equipped with an educational plan focused on homework, computer projects and laboratory applications, who have the ability to think analytically and produce optimum solutions to problems, learn quickly and renew themselves quickly.
