The Gebze Technical University 2023-2024 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony took place on July 6, 2024.

Following the university-wide graduation ceremony at 12:00 PM at the GTU Congress and Culture Center, the Faculty of Architecture Graduation Ceremony was held at 4:00 PM at the Faculty of Architecture N Block for students from the Department of Architecture and the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, sending off our students into their professional lives.

The ceremony began with a speech by Research Assistant Kardelen Öztürk, representing the Istanbul Branch of the Chamber of City Planners of TMMOB, and continued with a speech by Mustafa Serdaroğlu, President of the Gebze Branch of the Chamber of Architects of TMMOB Kocaeli. Following that, speeches were given by the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Prof. Dr. Elif Özlem Aydın, Gebze Mayor and Senior Urban Planner Zinnur Büyükgöz, Çayırova Mayor and Senior Civil Engineer Bünyamin Çiftçi, and Head of the Department of Development and Urban Planning of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, Architect Osman Günler. The opening session was concluded with a speech by Izmit District Governor Yusuf Ziya Çelikkaya.

Continuing the ceremony, gifts and certificates of achievement were presented to the top graduates of the Department of Architecture and the Department of Urban and Regional Planning. Finally, speeches were given by Ayşenur Yalçın, the top graduate of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, and Berk Günay, the top graduate of the Department of Architecture.

The ceremony, attended by our protocol guests, esteemed faculty members, and beloved students and parents, concluded with group photo sessions.

We extend our gratitude to Izmit District Governor Yusuf Ziya Çelikkaya, Gebze Mayor Zinnur Büyükgöz, Osman Günler, who attended on behalf of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, Darıca Mayor Muzaffer Bıyık, Çayırova Mayor Bünyamin Çiftçi, Board Members and President Mustafa Serdaroğlu of the Chamber of Architects Gebze Branch, Nur Kardelen Öztürk, who attended on behalf of the Istanbul Branch of the Chamber of City Planners of TMMOB, and Binat Architecture and Media Group for their participation and the gifts they provided to our graduates at the 2023-24 Academic Year Faculty of Architecture Graduation Ceremony.
