Programme Outcomes

 

Under the main headings of knowledge, skills and competencies to be gained by the students who complete the Department of Computer Engineering at Gebze Technical University; 12 programme outcomes are currently defined under the name of programme learning outcomes. These outcomes are listed below.

 

 

PO1. To acquire basic knowledge of Computer Engineering.

 

PO2. To be able to define and analyse engineering problems using mathematics, science and mathematical knowledge.

 

PO3. Design and develop software and/or hardware based systems, components or processes to solve defined problems.

 

PO4. Analysing and interpreting data as well as designing and conducting experiments.

 

PO5. To reach the necessary technical, academic and practical knowledge.

 

PO6. Demonstrate the ability to analyse, design and apply the use of systems or processes in terms of efficiency, manufacturability, sustainability, environmental and social dimensions.

 

PO7. To work effectively in research teams with interdisciplinary interaction.

 

PO8. To continuously improve their knowledge and skills in order to adapt to the rapidly changing technological environment.

 

PO9. Finding methods to improve existing knowledge.

 

PO10. Demonstrate fluency in English for following the literature, presenting technical projects and writing articles.

 

PO11. Demonstrate responsibility for professional and ethical behaviour.

 

PO12. Developing awareness for the safe and healthy management of the project, dealing with the working environment and legal rights.
