General Requirements for Application

• Applicants must complete their applications in full by following the steps outlined in the section titled “Instructions for Filling Out the Application Form” (Başvuru Formunun Doldurulmasına İlişkin Açıklamalar).

 • A maximum of two different thesis master's programs may be applied to within the same semester. 

• For non-thesis master’s programs, applicants may apply to only one program. If two preferences are submitted, only the first preference will be considered, and the second will be automatically canceled by the system.

• For PhD programs, each applicant may apply to only one doctoral program.

• Except for non-thesis master’s programs, it is not possible to enroll in or continue more than one graduate program simultaneously.

•  Documents obtained via e-Devlet (e-Government) are considered valid. Applicants who have not yet graduated may upload their current transcript in place of a diploma. 

Foreign Language Proficiency

• For applications to thesis master's programs: Candidates who do not hold a Foreign Language Exemption Certificate (YDS, YÖKDİL, ÜDS, KPDS, TOEFL iBT, or a certificate of 30% or 100% English-medium undergraduate education, etc.) must select the option “I will take the GTU English Proficiency Exam” (GTÜ İngilizce Yeterlik Sınavına Gireceğim) in the application form. These applicants must also upload their bank receipt under the section “YDS or YÖKDİL Certificate” (YDS veya YÖKDİL Sınav Belgesi).

• Those Who Hold an Exemption Certificate: They must upload their foreign language score documents under the sections “YDS or YÖKDİL Certificate” (YDS veya YÖKDİL Sınav Belgesi), “GTU Foreign Language Exam Bank Receipt” (GTÜ Yabancı Dil Sınavı Banka Dekontu), and “Certificate of 30% or 100% English-Medium Undergraduate Education” (%30 veya %100 İngilizce Lisans Eğitimi Belgesi).

• Among applic  ants to thesis master's programs, those who have achieved the minimum required score in the GTU English Proficiency Exam taken within the last two years must complete the “GTU LETTER OF REQUEST FOR LANGUAGE EXEMPTION” (“GTÜ DİL MUAFİYET DİLEKÇESİ”) and upload it to the sections “YDS or YÖKDİL Certificate” (“YDS veya YÖKDİL Sınav Belgesi”), “GTU Foreign Language Exam Bank Receipt” (“GTÜ Yabancı Dil Sınavı Banka Dekontu”), and “Certificate of 30% or 100% English-Medium Undergraduate Education” (“%30 veya %100 İngilizce Lisans Eğitimi Belgesi”) in the documents section of the application form. (Please click here for the letter of request)

InformationRegarding ALES / GRE / GMAT

• Applicants applying with a GRE/GMAT score must enter the equivalent ALES score in the "ALES Information" (ALES Bilgileri) section of the application form.

Things To Remember During Application

• Identity Information: The identity card serial number must be entered correctly.

Example:

 • If Serial: R09, No: 632541, then enter R09632541
   • If Serial: R09, No: 032541, then enter R0932541

•  Invalid Documents:Please do not upload expired, invalid, or incorrect documents. 

•  Required Documents:All documents requested in the application form must be uploaded completely to the relevant sections.

•  Payments To Be Made to the Bank:Candidates who will take the English Proficiency Exam must pay the exam fee to the designated bank account and upload the receipt to the online application system. 

- Technical issues may occasionally occur with email addresses using the iCloud domain during the registration process. Therefore, if you register with an iCloud email address, please be advised that the confirmation email may not be delivered to you.

- Users who do not receive the confirmation email are advised to complete the registration process again using a different email address.

- Applicants who have uploaded their language certificate may also upload the same document to the relevant section if they are requested to submit a bank receipt.

- Applicants who have uploaded the bank receipt may also upload the same document to the relevant section if they are requested to submit a language certificate.
