GENERAL AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION 1. For any type of internship, whether optional (voluntary) or mandatory, the Internship Logbook, Summary in Turkish, Institution's evaluation form (sealed and signed in an envelope), and Internship Evaluation Forms must be submitted to the Department Secretariat after the internship is completed. 2. Internships without a Logbook will not be evaluated. 3. Students doing voluntary internships or participating in the Star and Erasmus programs must follow the workflow specified for 'mandatory internships.' 4. On the cover of the Logbook, students should write the 'Internship I, Internship II, Erasmus, Star, Optional Internship, or Voluntary Internship note and the number of Internship Workdays in a visible manner. 5. For internships completed abroad through the ERASMUS program or voluntarily, the Internship Logbook and Internship Evaluation Form must be submitted to the Department Secretariat after the completion of the internship. These students will have the note "Completed Mandatory Internship through the ERASMUS Internship Program" added to their transcript. Therefore, the student should write "Completed through the ERASMUS Internship Program" on the cover of the Logbook in a visible manner. 6. Students doing internships through the ERASMUS program will have their ERASMUS program-related processes handled by the ERASMUS office, but all department-related processes should be carried out independently of the processing of ERASMUS forms. This is a requirement for your internship to be recorded on your transcript. 7. Students who will do an internship under any other program (including the STAR) must complete the 'mandatory internship application' procedures provided below in order to count their internship as mandatory. 8. Internship applications must be completed within the date range specified in the "Other Announcements" section for each term. 9. Internship Logbooks must be filled out in English with a max. one page long Turkish Summary. 10. The Turkish Summary section must include the signature/stamp of the company where the internship was done and the student's signature, just like the other pages of the internship Logbook. 11. Mandatory internships can be completed in the following durations: 25-15, 20-20, or a single 40-day period (the 40-day internship option is only available for 3rd and 4th-year students). 12. Voluntary (optional) internships must last at least 15 days, or in increments of 5 days after 15 days (e.g., 20, 25, 30, 35, 40...). 13. Internships conducted during the academic calendar dates are not accepted. However, students who have completed their 8th semester and are in their 9th or subsequent semesters can do internships on days when they are not taking classes (minimum 3 days per week). 14. If the company operates on weekends (Saturday-Sunday), the student can intern on weekends as long as it does not coincide with official holidays. This must be documented with an approval letter from the student's internship supervisor/ responsible person at the organization. Additionally, a maximum of 6 days of internship can be done in one week (this applies to internships abroad as well).
