In a panel organized in collaboration with GTU and Çayırova Social Services Center, the role of the mother in family communication and child development was discussed from a scientific perspective.

Social Awareness Meeting in Çayırova

A panel themed "Strong Family, Strong Future" was held as part of the "2025 Year of the Family" initiative, in collaboration with Gebze Technical University (GTU) Women and Family Studies Application and Research Center (KUAM) and Çayırova Social Services Center Directorate. The event, held on December 18th at the Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan Cultural Center with coordination from the GTU Science Communication Office and the Çayırova District National Education Directorate, addressed the importance of family communication and the decisive role of the mother in early childhood from a multidisciplinary perspective.

Scientific Data and Field Experience Combined

In the panel, moderated by GTU KUAM Director Prof. Dr. Fatma Yüksel, theoretical knowledge was blended with field experience. Social Services Center Director Nergis Kasa Güney, who participated as a speaker, shared her field experiences; Associate Professor Dr. Hanife Deniz Yurtseven, a faculty member of the Economics Department at GTÜ (Gebze Technical University), evaluated the topic in light of academic data. During the question-and-answer session, an interactive sharing environment was created with the participants, raising awareness about family support mechanisms.

A Broadly Participating Academic Sharing

The program, implemented under the coordination of the Çayırova District National Education Directorate, was attended by Çayırova District National Education Director Recep Demir, Çayırova Deputy Mayor Sadettin Arıkboğa, and Çayırova District Public Library Director Özgür Akgün, as well as district protocol officials, school administrators, teachers, and parents. This high-quality initiative was noted as an important step strengthening the university's strategic ties with public institutions in line with its vision of providing social benefit.
