Requirements for Thesis Defence

 

MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAM THESIS DELIVERY PROCEDURES

In order to graduate, the student, after completing the necessary obligations specified in the GTU Graduate Education Regulation and Senate Application Principles, YÖK submits the form and its annexes to the Department by paying attention to the following explanations until the date* specified in the Academic Calendar in the relevant period.

 

*Within the maximum period, the student who does not start the thesis submission procedures within the time specified in the Academic Calendar may start their transactions when the next academic year begins. If the student has completed the maximum period, the relationship of the student is terminated.

 

Before The Thesis Defense Exam

> 2 Pieces FR-0116 YL Master's Thesis Submission Report: After the approval of the Advisor and Student Affairs Department

1 copy must be submitted to the Office of Student Affairs, and the other copy and attachments should be submitted to the Department after the approval of the Program Coordinator.

It is transmitted to the Graduate Education Institute via EBYS by the Head of Department. You can reach the Program Coordinators / Program Executive Boards here.

 

Attachments of the form;

> 1 Piece FR-0117 Thesis Defense-Publication-Commitment-Jury Proposal Form: After being signed by the student, Advisor and Program Coordinator, the 1st page of the Academic Plagiarism Blocking Report evaluation printout (The consultant must confirm that it is appropriate) (Sample Plagiarism Report Image(After clicking on the plain text report, the output of the page that appears must be printed and signed.) and a copy of the full text/summary of the publication and the certificate of participation should be attached,  

 

> 1 Piece Master's Thesis: As a PDF file prepared in accordance with the Thesis Writing Format,

IMPORTANT: You should make sure that your thesis title is the same as your title in the Student Information System.

For the Date and Number of the Board of Directors;

Thesis defence exam documents and exam jury are submitted to the Board of Directors. The date and number of the Board of Directors is announced on our web page under the title of Thesis Defence Exam - Juries.

> 1 Piece FR-0100 DR Thesis Monitoring Committee Article Publication Approval Form: The article should be signed by the Advisor and Thesis Monitoring Jury with its full text,

 

> 1 Piece FR-0101 DR Article Review Commission Decision: FR-0100 DR Thesis Monitoring Committee Article Publication Approval Form and Article Full Text are added, it is a form to be initiated by the Advisor Faculty Member through the EBYS channel, and it is signed by the Article Examination Commission consisting of the Head of Department, the Director of the Institute and the Vice Rector responsible for Education. After the signatures are completed, the decision letter is transmitted to the Consultant via EBYS. The advisor forwards the signed decision letter to the student, and the student submits it to the Graduate School together with the other documents.
