Anti-Mobbing Supreme Committee

 

Based on Article 14 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 and the Prime Ministry Circular No. 2011/02, published in the Official Gazette dated March 19, 2011 (No. 27879), the Higher Committee for Combating Psychological Harassment (Mobbing) was established by the decision of the University Senate dated July 11, 2018, session number 2018/08.

 

Duties:

1 - To place on the agenda, the applications concerning psychological harassment that have been reviewed and deemed appropriate for referral by the Subcommittee on Combating Psychological Harassment, and, when necessary, to assign the Subcommittee to obtain written or oral statements from relevant individuals (victim/perpetrator/witnesses and others).

2 - To examine documents, records, or any other materials submitted as evidence within the scope of the complaint.

3 - To obtain written or oral statements from relevant individuals (victim/perpetrator/witnesses, etc.) deemed necessary for substantiating the harassment allegation.

4 - To reach a decision on the applications and to communicate the reasoned decision of the committee to the applicant.

5 - To carry out awareness-raising activities at the university regarding psychological harassment. Within available means, this includes:

- Supporting the training of unit members on psychological harassment (mobbing),

- Ensuring the establishment and active operation of a website providing information on the activities of the Unit for Combating Psychological Harassment,

- Facilitating the organization of presentations and events at the university on the topic of combating psychological harassment.

6 - To ensure the confidentiality of all meetings and correspondence conducted within the scope of the applications.

7 - To assist, within the bounds of available resources, in providing psychological support to university personnel who have been subjected to harassment.

8 - To assign, either verbally or in writing, the University Directorate of Administrative Affairs to carry out all necessary correspondence, minute-taking, notifications, and file management on behalf of the Subcommittee, as well as any other related administrative duties.
