Based on Article 1 of the Higher Education Quality Assurance Regulation;

The duties, authorities, and responsibilities of the Quality Commission, adapted in line with the studies of our university, are as follows:

• In line with the strategic plan and objectives of the institution, to establish the internal and external quality assurance system of the institution regarding the evaluation and quality improvement of education, training and research activities and administrative services, to determine institutional indicators and to carry out the studies to be carried out in this context in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by the Higher Education Quality Board and to submit these studies to the Senate for approval,

• To determine the principles, quality indicators and rules to be applied in external evaluation and accreditation and submit them for the approval of the senate and/or the Administrative Board,

• To conduct internal evaluation studies, to prepare the annual institutional evaluation report summarizing the results of institutional evaluation and quality improvement efforts, to submit it to the Senate and/or the Administrative Board, and to publish the approved report on the institution’s main webpage to share it with the public;

• To organize training sessions, meetings, workshops, and similar activities to promote and spread a culture of quality,

• Following the self-evaluation and external evaluation processes conducted by higher education institutions, to review the external evaluation reports and prepare a final report containing recommendations for quality improvements, to be submitted to the Senate and/or the Administrative Board,

• If necessary, to make a request for the change of the Integrated Management System procedures (instructions and forms in its content) related to the unit / to create new documents, and to ensure that these documents are kept up to date,

• To carry out all activities in accordance with defined duties and the procedures of the Integrated Management System,

• To make the necessary preparations for the external evaluation process and to provide all kinds of support to the Higher Education Quality Council and external evaluator institutions.
