DEPARTMENT INTERNSHIP COMMISSION |
1-To organize seminars to inform students about internships. 2-To evaluate internship applications and provide necessary approvals in accordance with the principles stated in the Internship Directive and the Departmental Internship Implementation Guidelines. 3-To determine the suitability of institutions where students plan to do their internships. 4-To evaluate completed internships. 5-If there are internship quotas allocated to the department by public or private institutions, either domestic or abroad, to announce these quotas and allocate them to students based on pre-established criteria set by the committee. 6-To prepare the departmental internship implementation guidelines. 7-To ensure that the decisions of the Department Internship Committee are announced to students via the department’s website. 8-To carry out other tasks related to internships as assigned by the Department Chair. |

EXEMPTION AND COURSE EQUIVALENCY COMMISSION |
1-To evaluate horizontal (intra-institutional/inter-institutional) and vertical (associate to undergraduate) transfer applications. 2-To determine the course exemptions and academic adjustments (course equivalencies) of students who were previously enrolled in another higher education institution recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), and who wish to continue their studies at Gebze Technical University via transfer, amnesty law, or similar procedures. 3-To carry out course equivalency procedures for students of the department who have taken courses at domestic or international higher education institutions through exchange programs. 4-For students registered at Gebze Technical University who will take courses at other higher education institutions (recognized by YÖK) under special student status or through international exchange programs, to determine the letter grade equivalencies of these courses, provided that the courses are approved by the Faculty Board before the student begins their education at the other institution. |

DOUBLE MAJOR COMMISSION |
1-To prepare Double Major Program (DMP) agreements between the department’s undergraduate program and other undergraduate programs. 2-To submit the agreement to the Department Board, then to the Faculty Board upon the Department Board’s proposal, and to obtain the approval of the University Senate based on the Faculty Board’s recommendation. 3-To carry out the program in cooperation with the relevant departments/programs. 4-To conduct the preliminary evaluation of applications to the department's Double Major Program, determine the list of principal and substitute candidates, and submit it to the Faculty Administrative Board. 5-To act as the departmental coordinator for the Double Major Program. |

MINOR PROGRAM COMMISSION |
1-To develop a Minor Program between the department’s undergraduate program and other undergraduate programs. 2-To present the proposed program to the Department Board; upon the Department Board’s recommendation, to submit it to the Faculty Board; and subsequently, to obtain the approval of the University Senate based on the Faculty Board’s recommendation. 3-To implement and manage the program in coordination with the relevant academic units. 4-To conduct the preliminary evaluation of applications to the department’s Minor Program, determine the list of primary and alternate candidates, and submit the results to the Faculty Administrative Board. 5-To serve as the departmental coordinator for the Minor Program. |

OTHER EXCHANGE & ERASMUS DEPARTMENT COORDINATORSHIP |
1-To ensure that students are informed about exchange programs; to grant coordinator approval to students applying for the program following the approval of their academic advisor. 2-To contribute to the academic and social integration of incoming exchange students into the department. 3-To carry out internal and external correspondence related to exchange programs within and outside the university. 4-To perform other duties related to exchange programs as assigned by the Department Chair. 5-To provide guidance to departmental students studying at domestic or international higher education institutions under exchange programs regarding course selection. 6-To ensure that the courses to be taken by the student at the host institution are selected with the knowledge and approval of the Department Erasmus Coordinator and the Academic Advisor, ensuring alignment in content and equivalence in weekly hours/credits with the courses the student is required to take at our university during the respective semester/year; to approve course changes and conduct grade conversions with the knowledge and approval of the Academic Advisor. |

CURRICULUM COMMISSION |
1-To carry out tasks related to the preparation and organization of course plans and course information forms. 2-To monitor and ensure the compliance of changes made to course plans. 3-To review and ensure the compliance of ECTS–NQF (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System – National Qualifications Framework) Course Information Forms for newly proposed courses. 4-To review and ensure the compliance of updates made to the ECTS–NQF Course Information Forms of existing courses. |

ACCREDITATION COMMISSION |
Department Chair’s Responsibility: Responsibilities of the Department Accreditation Commission: 1-To carry out accreditation-related activities within the department and ensure the preparation of the necessary reports for the accreditation application. 2-To provide information to the visiting evaluation team regarding the department’s accreditation efforts, present the required documents, and respond to any inquiries. 3-To ensure that accreditation-related surveys are conducted, archived, and evaluated. 4-To ensure the preparation and archiving of course files, as well as the implementation of necessary updates related to courses. |
