Gebze Technical University International Student Exam (GTUYOS) is an exam used by GTU and other universities that accept the results of this exam to select the foreign national students who are willing to have associate or undergraduate degree education at the faculties, vocational colleges and vocational schools of higher education in Turkey.
The first section of the exam consists of 40 questions that measure abstract thinking, reasoning and analytical thinking, and the second section consists of 40 questions in mathematics and geometry that measure mathematical skills.
The students must score a minimum of 70 standard points in order to succeed the exam.
EXAM CALENDAR
GTUYOS is conducted every year by the GTUYOS Exam Committee approved by the GTU Rectorate, on the date specified in the YOS calendar.

EXAM-RELATED PROCEDURES AND THE EXAM APPLICATION
All the procedures related to GTUYOS are handled through Gebze Technical University Lifelong Education Application and Research Center. You can apply for GTUYOS by clicking on the "Apply for the Exam" option from the menu on the left and completing the steps explained on the page that opens.
** There are no refunds for the exam fee.
PERIOD OF VALIDITY
GTUYOS is valid for two years starting from the date when the results are announced.
OTHER EXAMS THAT ARE RECOGNIZED BY GEBZE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSION
- SAT I: A minimum score of 1100 out of 1600 (including a minimum score of 600 for Maths) for the Maths and Critical Reading tests,
- GCE: A-Level score in at least 3 subjects (on the condition that at least 1 of these 3 subjects is in the field of the academic program the student is applying for),
- ACT: A minimum score of 25 for each type of scores including Maths, Science Reasoning, and Composite,
- ABITUR: A minimum score of 3 (1, 2, and 3),
- MATURA: A minimum score of 3 (1, 2, and 3),
- International Baccalaureate: A minimum diploma score of 30,
is required to apply to GTU as an international student. Students can also use the results of exams similar to GTUYOS and conducted by other universities in Turkey. The results are evaluated for admission by GTU's International Student Committee.
