Industrial Design Department Events: “ETMK Istanbul, Sectoral Discussion: Vehicle Design, From Concept to Product”

As part of the Industrial Design Department events, a seminar open to university participation titled “Vehicle Design, From Concept to Product” will be held on January 2, 2026, between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM at the GTU Congress and Culture Center Red Hall, organized by the Industrial Designers Professional Association (ETMK) Istanbul. As part of the planned event, in collaboration with ETMK Istanbul, Onur ERYİĞİT (Founder and Design Director at ONURERYIGIT Concept & Design) and Sadık GELİRLİ (Manager of the Anadolu ISUZU R&D Design Office) will be our guests at our university.

About the Seminar Content:

Within the scope of the seminar titled “ETMK Istanbul, Sectoral Discussion: Vehicle Design, From Concept to Product” industrial designers who are experts in their field are scheduled to give a seminar on the stages of the vehicle design process in the automotive sector.

About the Speakers:

Onur ERYİĞİT completed his Industrial Product Design education at Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2005. During his 20-year R&D career, he initially worked on stage decor, stand, and product designs. Later, in line with forward-looking goals, he specialized in industrial design, R&D, and project management, primarily in projects involving tractors, industrial and material handling machinery, vehicle designs, rail system vehicles, and defense industry land vehicles. Since 2008, as the founder of ONURERYIGIT Concept& Design, he has been providing industrial design and engineering solutions to Turkey's leading manufacturers and R&D companies, continuing his work with design awards and high-value-added projects that have been brought to life.

Sadık GELİRLİ graduated from Istanbul Technical University's Industrial Product Design department. He has been working at Anadolu Isuzu since 2009 and has served as Design Office Manager since 2022. He specializes in vehicle design, strategic design management, and trend analysis. To date, he has been involved in and led the design processes for numerous commercial vehicle projects, including Novociti Life, Novociti Volt, Novo Volt, Kendo, Grand Toro, Citivolt 12, Citiport, Visigo, and Big-e. These projects have won national and international awards, such as the German Design Award, A'Design Award, Design Turkey, Bigsee Product Design Award, and Sustainable Bus Award. By linking its design vision to sustainability, digitalization, and mobility trends, the company contributes to its future strategies.
