ARTICLE 34 of the Regulation on Family Medicine Implementation prepared on the basis of Article 8 of the Family Medicine Law No. 5258 dated 24.11.2004 ARTICLE 34 - (1) For family medicine field trainings, training family health centers or training family medicine units may be opened by the training institutions based on the population criteria stipulated in the contract between the Turkish Public Hospitals Institution or University Rectorates providing family medicine specialty training and the Institution. The location of these units is determined upon the request of the training institution, the approval of the directorate and the approval of the Institution. The number of units is determined based on the number of assistants and approved by the Institution. According to the provision that  “if the number of assistants in the educational institution is high, more than one educational family health center affiliated to the same educational institution can be opened with the appropriate opinion of the directorate and the approval of the Institution ”GTU Family Health Center", which was opened in April 2016 after the contract made with the Family Health Center, continues to serve and is located in the newly built ASM Building opposite the Main Security Entrance of GTU North Campus on 25.08.2023.
