According to the information received from the graduates of GTU Geomatics Engineering since 2022; our graduates are generally employed in private sector companies (84%) and public-government (16%) institutions in many different fields. Our graduates in public institutions generally preferred to work in areas related to geographic information systems and software development applications in municipalities. In addition, there are also graduates working in the Land Registry and Cadastre Directorate and universities. The working areas of our graduates in the private sector have a very wide range. • Natural gas and electricity distribution companies,

• Construction and surveying applications,

• Photogrammetry and LiDAR studies using UAV and Drone,

• IT infrastructure for database management,

• Surveying and consultancy firms,

• Surveying, zoning applications and engineering surveying offices,

• Real estate valuation applications,

• Maritime studies,

• Mining operations,

• Banks.

We have graduates who have established their own business as entrepreneurs (Surveying office) and are active in various fields. We have graduates working in disciplines related to informatics. In addition, some of our graduates are actively working abroad in the energy sector, new generation cartography and LiDAR surveying in the current and technological fields of our profession.

According to July 2024 data, our department graduated a total of 159 undergraduate graduates between 2021-2024. Between 2021 and 2023, approximately 73% of our graduates continue to work in disciplines related to their profession.
