WHAT IS MICROSOFT DREAMSPARK?

DreamSpark is a Microsoft Program that supports technical education by providing access to Microsoft software for learning, teaching and research purposes. Microsoft provides free support to students such as Microsoft Student Partner, ImagineCup, Microsoft Open Academia, DreamSpark activities and organizations. DreamSpark is one of Microsoft's free programs for all university students. This program includes some products from Microsoft, some tutorials, and a 1-year developer license for the Windows Store.

WHO CAN GET MICROSOFT DREAMSPARK?

Students, academic and administrative staff can benefit from Dreamspark membership.

WHAT SHOULD I DO FOR MICROSOFT DREAMSPARK MEMBERSHIP?

First of all, please send   an e-mail from your e-mail of gtu.edu.tr  to address bim@gtu.edu.tr with your surname, department, academic title and telephone number, it's about your Dreamspark wish.

Once you have received your application related our personnel, they will perform your registration and you will click on the link in the e-mail that will be sent to you by Microsoft Dreamspark, then you will be able to complete your membership and start downloading existing products.

Enter your e-mail address where the window appears.

An email will be sent to your email address as follows. Please, click on the link shown in the e-mail.

Please click on the link above in the e-mail you received. The password will be shown as below. After inputting the information, please click Reset Password.

Then, on the following screen,

We log in to the system by clicking Sign in by entering the above information.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD MICROSOFT DREAMSPARK PRODUCT?

When you login to the system, you will see a screen like below. As you can see on the screen there are many products you can download. By way of an example, it will be explained step by step how to download the Windows 7 product.

Click on the product you want on the screen (Windows 7).

Please click add to basket.

Please click Pay.

Please, accept.

Please, click YES and Continue to the order.

Take note of the product key and click Start Download.

Please, download first the .SDM in Step 1.

Run the following file by double clicking on it in the place you downloaded.

Then download the .SDX in STEP 2.

It will throw an icon like the following where you downloaded it.

Click on the icon. You can start downloading by selecting Download location from the pop-up window and clicking Start Download.
