July 7, 2026 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations — A project led by Associate Professor Ceren Çubukçu-Çerasi from GTU has been selected for funding under the TÜBİTAK 4007 Program to promote cybersecurity awareness.
The project titled "Gebze Secure Future (CYBERFEST) Science Festival," led by Associate Professor Ceren Çubukçu-Çerasi from the Department of Management Information Systems, Faculty of Business Administration at Gebze Technical University (GTU), has been selected for funding under the TÜBİTAK 2026 4007 – Science Festivals Support Program. The project aims to make cybersecurity awareness, one of the most critical issues of the digital age, accessible, engaging, and based on hands-on, experiential learning for people of all ages.
The festival will be held at two different venues. The first phase will take place at the GTU Congress Center on October 9–11, 2026, while the second phase will be hosted at the Kocaeli Science Center on November 5–6, 2026. Designed to reach a total of 5,700 participants, the event will feature 36 interactive workshops, six academic talks, science shows, and exhibitions. |
