July 1, 2026 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations Gebze Technical University (GTU) has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, prepared in line with its commitment to integrating sustainable development into the core of its education, research, governance, and campus management activities.
Prepared in accordance with the university's sustainability vision and sustainable campus objectives, the report provides a comprehensive assessment of GTU's institutional capacity, key strengths, and sustainability initiatives through the framework of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The report offers a holistic overview of the university's efforts across a broad range of areas, including education and research, governance, climate action, energy and resource management, water stewardship, biodiversity conservation, sustainable campus practices, social responsibility, equality, innovation, and community engagement.
At the same time, the report transparently presents the university's progress in sustainability performance, institutional development, and future priorities. It also serves as an important reference document, demonstrating GTU's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices in alignment with internationally recognized sustainability standards.
