April 30, 2026 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations — The training, organized to strengthen researchers’ project development culture and enhance scientific research capacity, has been successfully completed. — The training covered in detail project preparation skills in line with TÜBİTAK standards and R&D processes. — The training is expected to improve the quality and acceptance rates of projects developed within the institution.
The “Proposal Writing Training” organized by Gebze Technical University (GTU) Research Coordination Office within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1002 Rapid Support Module was successfully held on April 29, 2026, in classroom Z06 of the Department of Computer Engineering. The training aimed to strengthen the project development culture of researchers and academics, enhance their scientific research capacities, and encourage the production of high-quality projects.
The “Proposal Writing Training,” organized within Gebze Technical University (GTU) to strengthen researchers’ and academics’ project development culture, increase their scientific research capacity, and promote the production of qualified projects, has been successfully completed under the TÜBİTAK 1002 Rapid Support Module.
The training, which aimed to increase the acceptance rates of scientific projects and equip participants with the skills to prepare proposals in accordance with TÜBİTAK standards, was conducted under the guidance of experienced academics in the field. Throughout the training, the core components of the proposal writing process were addressed in detail, including developing an effective project idea, conducting a systematic literature review, clearly demonstrating originality, constructing a sound methodological framework, and preparing an accurate budget plan.
Technical Support From Expert Academics In addition to the presentation delivered by Research Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Seda Çetindere, Prof. Hanife Deniz Yurtseven, Assoc. Prof. İdris Karakaya, Lecturer Nihan Şengökmen-Özsöz (PhD), and Research Assistant Meltem Yağcıoğlu contributed to the training program by sharing their experiences with TÜBİTAK 1002 projects.
Expected Positive Impact on Acceptance Rates During the training, participants gained valuable insights into application processes for short-term and rapid support R&D projects, as well as evaluation criteria used by reviewers. The program, carried out under the guidance of expert academics, is expected to enhance the quality of future project submissions and positively contribute to their acceptance rates. |
