Associate Professor Işıl Öner from the Department of Mathematics is accepted to an international action under European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST).

Gebze Technical University (GTU) continues to strengthen its presence in international academic collaborations and scientific networks. Associate Professor Işıl Öner, a faculty member of the Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Science, has been accepted to a prestigious research action carried out within the framework of COST.

Intersection of Control Theory and Machine Learning

Assoc. Prof. Işıl Öner has been accepted as a researcher to the international working group titled “Interactions between Control Theory and Machine Learning (InterCoML)” with reference number CA24136. This working group aims to bring together the disciplines of control theory and machine learning, two of the most critical fields in today’s technology landscape.

Working Group Membership

Within this comprehensive network, she has joined the team of “Working Group 2 (WG2): Machine Learning for Control Theory.” Through this membership, it is expected that our university will contribute to global scientific production processes and take on a strategic role in international projects.
