April 2, 2026 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations GTU's Bachelor's Degree Program in Architecture (Turkish-Medium) successfully obtains its second three-year approval under the “Conditional 6-Year Accreditation” status, following the rigorous evaluations conducted by the Architectural Accreditation Association (MiAK).
Gebze Technical University (GTU) continues to demonstrate its academic excellence in line with its vision of quality assurance in education and sustainable success. Within the scope of the evaluation processes carried out by the Architectural Accreditation Association (MiAK), the Bachelor's Degree Program in Architecture (Turkish-Medium) offered by the Faculty of Architecture has achieved a significant accomplishment.
Uninterrupted Success in the Accreditation Process With the decision taken at the 18th Meeting of the 8th Term of MiAK held on August 8, 2022, the program was granted the status of “CONDITIONAL 6-YEAR ACCREDITATION” in accordance with the relevant provisions of the MiAK Procedures (2021). As a continuation of this process, the interim evaluation phase was successfully completed in line with the comprehensive Interim Report submitted by our university and the positive feedback of the Site Visit Team.
Sustainability in Educational Standards With decision no. 4c taken at the 13th Meeting of the 10th Term of the Architectural Accreditation Association dated March 28, 2026, it has been certified that the Bachelor's Degree Program in Architecture (Turkish-Medium) fully meets the criteria specified in Article 7.2 of the MiAK Procedures (2021). With this decision, the program has secured the second three-year accreditation period under the “Conditional 6-Year Accreditation” status, once again confirming the continuity of its educational quality. |
