March 6, 2026 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations Under a project implemented with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and TÜBİTAK, GTU gains a modern production and prototyping center that will help shape the national technology ecosystem.
Academic Support for the National Technology InitiativeGebze Technical University (GTU) has taken a strategic step toward training qualified human resources and strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem in line with Türkiye’s domestic and national technology goals.
Within the scope of the National Technology Workshops Support Program, carried out under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Technology with the support of TÜBİTAK, the project submitted by GTU has been approved, and a support agreement worth 30,000,000 TL for a 36-month period has been signed.
Modern Infrastructure and Broad Service CapacityLocated next to the Aerospace Faculty on GTU campus, the National Technology Workshop enables students to carry out their project development processes in accordance with high technical standards. The workshop includes: Team meeting and working areas CNC machining area, lathes, milling machines, and drilling machines Advanced manufacturing and prototyping equipment such as 3D printers and 3D scanners
An Interdisciplinary Project Development CenterDesigned to serve more than one hundred student project teams, over eighty student societies, and the wider region, the workshop is not limited to engineering fields. It also supports ideas from different disciplines such as food sciences, biology, and business administration. Ideas accepted through the project evaluation committee are supported at every stage, from analysis to manufacturing, under the guidance of technical experts.
