GTU and Gebze District Directorate of National Education Sign Scientific Cooperation Protocol

A new cooperation protocol bringing together science and art is signed between Gebze Technical University (GTU) and the Gebze District Directorate of National Education. The project, planned to be implemented under the TÜBİTAK 4007 Science Festival Program, is titled “The Language of Science and Art in Gebze: Talking Stones, Silent Turtles.”

Scope of the Project and Activities

Within the framework of the cooperation, which will be valid from Tuesday, September 22, 2026 to Saturday, September 26, 2026, various academic and practical activities will be held on the university campus:

Workshops: Two workshop leaders and ten undergraduate students from the Faculty of Architecture at GTU will take part in workshops to be held between Thursday, September 24, 2026 and Saturday, September 26, 2026.

Scientific Talk: A special talk will be organized on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at GTU Blue Hall No. 2.

Expert Support: The university will provide expert support during the implementation phase of the project.

Under the protocol, the Gebze District Directorate of National Education will be responsible for coordinating the project schedule, determining student groups, and overseeing the implementation plan of the activities. Gebze Technical University, on the other hand, will undertake responsibilities including academic staff support, allocation of physical spaces, and technical consultancy.

This meaningful collaboration aims to enhance students’ scientific and artistic awareness in the region and strengthen university–public collaboration.
