Emre Çelik, a graduate of the Department of Computer Engineering at Gebze Technical University, achieves a global milestone with Loom Games, where he serves as Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder. The Istanbul-based studio’s majority stake is acquired by global gaming giant Scopely at a valuation exceeding USD 1 billion.

With this strategic acquisition, Loom Games has officially been recorded as Türkiye’s 7th unicorn and the third unicorn to emerge from the gaming industry. Led by our alumnus Emre Çelik and CEO Kübra Gündoğan, the studio has gained significant global momentum with its hybrid casual puzzle game "Pixel Flow!", which was launched at the end of 2025. Reaching more than 10 million players in a short period of time, "Pixel Flow!" became the only casual game to rank among the top 20 highest-grossing mobile games in the United States over the past 12 months.

Combining the high-quality education he received at Gebze Technical University with technology and innovation, Emre Çelik has made a distinct impact on the mobile gaming world through the original mechanics he developed. Continuing its operations from Istanbul with a team of approximately 20 professionals, Loom Games has once again demonstrated Türkiye’s growing strength in the global gaming market.
