February 12, 2026 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations Gebze Technical University (GTU) takes another significant step in line with its vision to enhance the quality of education in the region and to strengthen university–high school engagement. A “Social, Cultural and Scientific Cooperation Protocol” is signed between GTU and Şehit Öğretmen Necmeddin Kuyucu Anadolu Lisesi.
The protocol aims to contribute to the academic development of high school students and to enable them to benefit from university facilities in the most effective way. As a continuation of GTU’s previous strategic partnerships with science high schools and Anatolian high schools, the agreement includes comprehensive provisions designed to improve the educational infrastructure.
Key Areas of Cooperation Under the ProtocolAcademic Support: GTU faculty members will be able to deliver lectures at the high school and provide expert support to scientific committees. Laboratory and Library Access: High school students will have the opportunity to visit GTU’s modern research units and benefit from its library resources on site. Joint Projects: A framework will be established to jointly conduct nationally and internationally funded scientific projects. Guidance and Outreach: Special guidance activities will be organized to encourage high-achieving students in the university entrance examination process to consider GTU as their preferred institution.
The protocol, which will remain valid for three years, was signed in a ceremony attended by GTU Vice-Rector Prof. Mahmut Durmuş, Gebze District Director of National Education Şenol Peköz, and School Principal Adem Şit.
This agreement further reinforces GTU’s mission not only as a higher education institution but also as a center of science supporting secondary education institutions across the region. |
