December 17, 2025 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations A comprehensive training protocol aimed at conducting joint R&D activities to enhance the technological competencies of military personnel is signed between Gebze Technical University (GTU) and the Tuzla Infantry School Command at the GTU Rectorate by GTU Rector Prof. Hacı Ali Mantar and Infantry School Commander Major General Alparslan Kılınç.
Academic Contribution Implemented in December 2025, the protocol aims to provide academic momentum to the Turkish Armed Forces’ adaptation to modern technologies. In line with GTU’s vision as a Research University, it is intended to transfer the university’s scientific expertise directly to the field and strengthen military technologies through digital transformation.
Within the scope of the collaboration, GTU will deliver a specialized training program for the military personnel of the Infantry School, focusing on future warfare technologies. The curriculum will concentrate on the following key areas:
Artificial Intelligence Awareness: Artificial Intelligence Awareness Training and Certification Programs will be organized to support personnel’s adaptation to the digital age. Advanced Technical Skills: Training in 3D modeling, data analysis, and image processing technologies will be provided to form the basis for joint R&D projects. Graduate Education Support: GTU will offer Infantry School personnel opportunities for academic specialization at the graduate level.
On-Site, Face-to-Face Training and R&D Coordinated by the GTU Continuing Education Center (GTU-SEM), the program will include the implementation of the Artificial Intelligence Awareness Training and Certification Program. Through face-to-face courses and R&D activities to be held at the Infantry School campus in Tuzla, the military personnel will have the opportunity to work directly with expert academics in their respective fields. |
