December 3, 2025 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations Gebze Technical University (GTU) student society Hype Social Entrepreneurship Club launches its social responsibility project in partnership with the Gebze Chamber of Commerce (GTO) and with Aydoğdu Maritime as the main sponsor. The promotional launch of the Brave Women Entrepreneurs of the Future Program is held with the participation of prominent figures from the business and education sectors.
Established to support the spirit of youth entrepreneurship, the Hype Social Entrepreneurship Club has demonstrated its vision of going beyond purely academic activities by addressing a societal need. Under the coordination of Club President Esma Sude Sayar, the students reflected the university youth’s sense of social responsibility through this program, which aims to strengthen women’s presence in the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Women’s Power in Entrepreneurship Highlighted The launch event, held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the GTU Congress and Cultural Center, hosted GTU Rector Prof. Hacı Ali Mantar, Gebze Chamber of Commerce President Abdurrahman Aslantaş, and prominent names from the business, entrepreneurship, and education worlds, including Tuğrul Ağırbaşlı, Mısra Berna Özdemir, Doğa Can Coşar, Filiz Akkaş, and Alev Bilgili.
Speakers, including GTU Rector Prof. Hacı Ali Mantar, who supports students in this initiative, emphasized two key themes: the importance of the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem for the country’s economic dynamism and the power of women as a cornerstone of social development, while highlighting the potential of young women in the region.
A Clear Roadmap for the Program According to details shared during the launch, the program, which aims to integrate young women into the entrepreneurship ecosystem, will begin in February and conclude in May. Throughout the program, 40 female students will be paired with 20 women mentors who will guide them in their entrepreneurial journeys, with support provided by the GTO. Students will acquire the knowledge and skills needed to develop their business ideas through comprehensive training coordinated by Marmara Teknokent (MARTEK). Networking opportunities will also be provided. At the program’s conclusion, students will present their projects before a jury, and the two most impressive and high-potential projects will receive direct support from the university to launch their ventures.
This introductory breakfast and panel, organized in collaboration with GTU and GTO, marked the first step for the brave women entrepreneurs of the future. |
